Biographies

TAL YARDEN (Video Designer) has created video designs for numerous live events including dance, theater, opera and music performances. Upcoming projects include The Antonioni Project for Toneelgroep Amsterdam; Zoom for ZviDance and Mozart's Idomeneo for La Monnaie, Brussels. Recent work includes Cries & Whispers for Toneelgroep Amsterdam, Distracted for Roundabout Theater, Beast and Liberty City at New York Theater Workshop, Angels in America, Antony & Cleopatra, Julius Ceasar and Coriolanus for Toneelgroep Amsterdam and Wagner's Ring Cycle for Vlaamse Opera. Previous design work includes Pavel Zustiak's Le Petit Mort and Martha Clarke's Kaos in New York and Ivo van Hove's productions of Mourning becomes Electra and Rent, Mark Wing-Davey's Monkey in the Middle and Stephen Petronio's The King is Dead (with Cindy Sherman) and Not Garden. He has also designed for Reza Abdoh’s Tight Right White and Quotations from a Ruined City, and Tim Feldmann’s Twin-Project all of which have toured in Europe. In New York he has designed for John Jesurun, Jim Simpson, Mikel Rouse, DD Dorvillier's, Mia Lawrence, Kyle de Camp, Conway and Pratt, and Margarita Guergue.

SCOTT KILLIAN (Composer) has composed works for such major American companies as Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Hubbard Street Dance-Chicago, Nikolais/Louis Dance, and the José Limón Dance Company. Zoom marks his 14th work with Zvi. Mr. Killian created over 20 works with long-time collaborators Danny Shapiro and Joanie Smith, as well as numerous works with Cherylyn Lavagnino, Johannes Wieland, and others. As a composer/sound designer for theatre, Mr. Killian has served as Resident Composer for the Berkshire Theatre Festival since 1997. Among the many other theatrical venues are the Manhattan Theatre Club, New York Theatre Workshop, Public Theater, Women’s Project, The Acting Company, Rattlestick Theatre, Shakespeare Theatre of Washington D.C., Shakespeare & Co., Seattle Rep, Alabama Shakespeare Festival, George Street Playhouse, Baltimore’s Center Stage, Boston’s Huntington Theatre, GEVA Theatre, Theatre Calgary and the Vancouver Playhouse. Music for film includes Witnessing, a documentary film which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and aired on MSNBC, the film Undetectable: the Changing Face of AIDS (premiered on PBS and the NOW Film Festival/NYC) and Swan Lake, Minnesota an award-winning video adaptation of the classic ballet produced by the A&E network in conjunction with PBS.

MARK LONDON (Lighting Designer) Mark continues to value his longstanding collaboration with ZviDance where he can free himself from the confines of broadcast lighting and return to his joy for lighting dance. Some of Mark’s international collaborations include Noche Flamenca De Madrid, Stars of the Bolshoi and Kirov Ballet, the Chinese Opera of Taipei and the Pokrovsky Russian folk ensemble. NY based companies have included Jeanette Stoner, Muna Tseng, Colloquium Dance, 40Up and ISO Dance as well as theatre productions at the Public Theater and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) among countless “more intimate” venues. Some of Mark’s notable work in broadcast includes the design of lighting systems for WNET, WNYC, CNN, Bloomberg, MSNBC, Fox and Reuters as well as overseeing production of the broadcast lighting for four of the last five Olympic Games. Mark credits his family; Gail, Rachel and Ian, as a constant source of inspiration.

LIZ PRINCE (Costume Designer) has designed costumes for such artists as: Bill T. Jones (Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Boston Ballet, Berlin Opera Ballet and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater); Doug Varone (Doug Varone and Dancers, Jose Limon Compamy); Trey McIntyre (American Ballet Theater, Houston Ballet, Washington Ballet, Pennsylvania Ballet, PHILADANCO); Mark Dendy (Dendy Dance, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Dortmund Theater Ballet); Mikhail Baryshnikov's White Oak Dance Project (works by Lucy Guerin and Meg Stuart); Pilobolus, Jane Comfort, Neil Greenberg, Bebe Miller, Lawrence Goldhuber, Arthur Aviles, Gabri Christa, Gabrielle Lansner, David Dorfman, Ralph Lemon and Irondale Ensemble as well as designing a production of PIPPIN at Goodspeed Musicals directed by Gabriel Barre (national tour). Prince's costumes have been exhibited at The Cleveland Center for Contemporary Art; Snug Harbor Cultural Center; Rockland Center for the Arts and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. Prince received a 1990 New York Dance and Performance Award (BESSIE) for costume design as well as a 2008 Charles Flint Kellog Award from Bard College for achievement in her field.
